Our Flaggers Are Highly Trained

All AWP Protectors have completed industry-leading training, are ATSSA-certified, and specifically trained in work zone set-up. Each traffic control team member has been trained and/or certified in the following:

  • AWP’s Safety Training
  • ATSSA Flagger Training & Certification
  • OSHA-Required Safety Training
  • Drug-Free Workplace Training
  • Smith System ® Defensive Driver Training
  • State-Specific Temporary Traffic Control Training
  • Basics of Temporary Traffic Control
  • First Aid & CPR Training & Certification

Through this training, AWP personnel are taught how to communicate with other team members, our clients, and the general public to ensure highly effective work zones are set up and maintained throughout the work day. Using the techniques and skills they learn in our training is how our protector team installs safe, complaint work zones that optimize traffic flow for all road users.

AWP did an amazing job. They were on time, professional, and great to deal with. I will definitely be using AWP as our primary traffic control company moving forward.”
